Kraft Folio Book with Waterfall & Surprise Element
This fun blank Folio Book is handmade and assembled in our shop. It's ready for decorating with your selection of patterned and/or solid papers, embellishments, photos, ephemera, etc.
The pages are marked with letters and the letters correspond with the included cutting guide for all the page mats. There are some optional elements and we've provided measurements for those as well.
The measurements allow an 1/8" border to show around the papers. You may adjust the measurements to fit the papers you are using. These measurements are a guide only.
This is your creation to decorate, adjust as you desire. If you want a larger or smaller or no border, just adjust the measurements to fit your needs.
Make sure you plan your papers carefully, especially for the background behind the surprise pop-up element...in that area it is especially important to pay attention when cutting your papers if you are using directional papers.
Helpful tips:
There are 6 sets of magnets included. Magnets should be adhered BEFORE & hidden underneath your decorative papers!
We've marked the placement of the magnets for you, for easy reference, but did we not adhere them just in case you may want to change where they go. It's your folio after all!
Each marked darkened circle indicates where a set of two magnets go. You'll want to put glue or a glue dot on the two outer sides of the set,
so when you close the page to place the magnets, the magnets will adhere in it's proper place on opposite pages so they line up. Make sure you have your pages aligned where you want them to be when closed, BEFORE you glue the magnets in place. It's much easier to get the magnets aligned this way. If you are not sure how you want them situated, you may use re-positional glue dots to test place your magnets first, then once you are happy with the placement, go back and use glue to adhere them in place. Make sure you check the polarity of the magnets, to make sure they will attract instead of repel each other. This is one reason why we suggest adhering them in sets of two, with them already magnetically stuck to each other so you may avoid polarity conflicts when gluing them down. Make sure your magnets are glued securely in place BEFORE gluing your decorative papers down.
Plan and cut all your papers BEFORE adhering them. If you want to ink the album edges and/or your paper edges, it is highly suggested to do so BEFORE you glue anything down. It is much easier that way.
Secure your papers in place with paper clips first so you may be sure you like the layout BEFORE you start gluing them. Don't add more than two layers of paper over the areas where the magnets are glued down. Too many layers may prevent the magnets from attracting to each other.
Have Fun and make it your own.
